Peter's experience as a commercial litigator spans a broad spectrum of industries, from the technology and chemicals sectors to the manufacturing, logistics, securities, insurance, and intellectual property spaces. Representing both plaintiffs and defendants, Peter has guided clients through disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, joint venture break-ups, data theft and theft of trade secrets, antitrust claims, CGL coverage issues, environmental claims, embezzlement, non-compete agreements, class actions, and other commercial matters.
During his years as Associate General Counsel and Head of Global Litigation at Huntsman Corporation, Peter oversaw a docket of several hundred cases and disputes. From billion-dollar fraud cases to frivolous discrimination claims, complex commercial disputes and international arbitrations to eight-figure personal injury claims, Peter dealt with it all. In his compliance function, Peter also coordinated the development and deployment of a full suite of corporate policies and training programs while overseeing internal investigations company-wide.
Prior to joining Mitby Pacholder Johnson, Peter was a litigation partner in the Houston office of a large international law firm. Peter began his career in Los Angeles at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he spent nearly a decade representing Fortune 100, Fortune 500 and Global 500 clients in all phases of sophisticated litigation, arbitration, and complex corporate disputes.
Peter is licensed in both Texas and California. He received his law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
